• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

So I'll probably be posting some methods I thought about in the next few days in order to brainstorm and pick the best one, none of them is 100% reliable I'm sure but for many reasons I can't go with the classics (SN/hanging etc...).

I live in southern Italy I thought about travelling up for a "vacation day", have some fun in Rome and then jump late at night, this would be done around the start of the year when the weather is still very cold and it's probably rainy.
Can this realistically kill me and what bridge should I jump from? I know the current is different depending on the bridge. Also what can go wrong? What damage can I sustain if I somehow survive? The Tiber has obviously been used a lot for suicides in history but still I want to know more about reliability

Rule of thumb for jumping for a high chance of death into water is 250ft/76m. If you drop from lower than that, you risk not dying instantly. You could either live with horrible injuries or hit the water and drown because you are too injured to swim. As far as injuries, hitting water after a certain height is similar to hitting concrete. Broken bones, organ damage, disfigurement are all risks.
