There's no bringing it back home. The plan has to be consuming it in a hotel room locally.
Absolutely. It would be insanity to try to sneak this through an airport. It's a highly controlled substance and the legal consequences would likely be as severe as getting caught bringing heroin through. You obviously have to consume this in the foreign country.

Peru gets an average of 4.5 million foreign visitors every year. This thread is giving me the impression that at least one million of those people never make it out alive. It's shocking to think that a million people a year are kidnapped and buried in shallow graves by criminal cartels all across the Peruvian countryside.

If that is the case, you actually fulfilled your purpose of going over there without the need for the substance N and the hassle of search high and low for it.

Maybe we can listed that as a new method

This really doesn't seem worth it and honestly it's really unlikely you're going to find N in 2026 anywhere

It's not the case. The U.S. has over double the murder rate of Peru. If you're American, being in Peru would actually make you safer.

So not only is this not true, but it's also an extremely narrow interpretation of statistics. Going to a foreign country specifically to acquire a highly controlled substance is inherently risky because you're forced to deal with people who participate in less than legal activities.

A friend of mine went to Brazil on a work trip and the company had an actual bodyguard assigned to him to and from the hotel whenever he went outside. Some foreigners do get kidnapped, apparently, according to them, and then they try to ransom them off back to the company. It's a PR nightmare for them.

Also, when he was going in the company car, the car actually stopped around 30 feet before the traffic signal at the intersection because that intersection was notorious for getting held up by criminals.

Also, there were chalk outlines everywhere.

OK, I was kidding about the last line. But everything else is true, I swear.
Hi. Brazilian here.

I cannot think of a single instance in the last thirty years where a foreigner has been kidnapped and held for ransom.

Also?

I have never seen Brazilian police chalk line a victim.

You're literally more likely to get shot in a mass casualty event as a foreign visitor to the U.S. than get kidnapped and held for ransom in Brazil.

Now, all that said, being a single female gringa walking around the backwoods visiting vet stores is going to make the OP stand out like a sore thumb. Sexual violence does indeed occur to single travelling women — not just in Latin America: everywhere. It's a low chance, butnit is something to be aware of.

The chalk line bit was a joke. I have mentioned that in my previous post.

But the rest of it is true.My friend's company did provide him a security escort. It could have just been a security measure because when, if at all, people are ransomed, it's the company that has to pay because he's there on company work. And more than the money I believe it's their reputation they're worried about.

So you're saying that Brazil is safe to visit? Dude, I've been watching MMA for a long time. Even Shogun Rua got held up by a guy with a shotgun in Brazil and got his MMA winnings jacked.

I've heard many Brazilian fighters talk about how unsafe certain parts of Brazil can be.They live there too.

I'm not trying to put the place down, I'm just saying what I've heard.

But fine, if you're still saying that if it's really safe in your neighborhood then I'll have to stay at your place when I visit 🤩

If one takes the courage to travel to SA for N, they should also have the courage to bring it back home. Using it there, it will only make it harder for other people to get it.

Apparently if you scrape off all the information from the face of the bottle before consuming it, they can't trace it. The problem is if you consume it and just leave the bottle in the open with the serial number and stuff, then they'll track it,know what it is and even find out who sold it to you.

This isn't true, and kidnapping for ransom has definitely occurred multiple times within the past 30 years but its not common.

Brazil is safe to visit as are a majority of countries, just because one has a particularly higher rate of XYZ crime doesn't mean "if I go there I'm immediately in danger".

If i'm not mistaken, every bottle has a number/series engraved in the very glass of that bottle so i think they can still track it. And even if it doesn't, authorities can put things together after finding out what substance was in that bottle; it's not about finding the specific store where it was bought, it's about enforcing stricter rules after every single case where they find foreigners dead in their hotel rooms.

You should get arrested by customs for possession of a controlled substance and spend the rest of your life in prison so that other people can get access to it?

Uh, ok, sure.

I have lived in Brazil most of my life. It is pretty safe to visit, yes. Every country has certain parts that are unsafe. Baltimore in the U.S. has a much higher murder rate than Rio de Janeiro, for example.

To foreigners?

I can recall one case, but it wasn't a kidnapping. You have any you can cite?

Yeah I am sorry but as a solo woman from out of the country, this is very worrisome. I just dont think this is it. I am sorry, I know it sucks to hear. You would be better off going the vet tech route and risk getting busted stealing it or horking it out of an animal's corpse.

Do you have other motives for your travel? I mean, if you get hold of N, would you try to bring it back?

I'd delete that top line if I were you. There's a lot of details in this thread that can be pieced together. Just to be extra cautious.
Maybe edit your message too, it still says the unedited version from OP on your comment

People that have done this in the past shows if you're smart enough, you won't get caught. If you're not ready to take that risk, just find another method.

Bringing any controlled substance through customs is a stupid risk. A smart person would never try that. They would take N in the foreign country since that's the goal anyway. Going through customs with it brings the risk of spending your life in jail and never getting an opportunity to take the thing you tried so hard to get hold of in the first place. You can't take N in prison.

horking it out of an animal's corpse.
I don't know if you've heard about Kevin Richardson. He's known as the Lion Whisperer. A couple of his lions ate the corpse of a horse that was euthanized using phenobarbital and almost died. The lions barely made it. Here's the video.

Why do I have to suffer unbearably! HELP PLEASE!

People who live in South America do you know if it can be found, where, how much, how hard is it to get? Older advocates of Philip Nitschke say they were able to go to Mexico and buy it for as little as 7 dollars and have it for when they need it. I've seen it said you can tell a vet in Mexico you need it for your dog and buy it, but wouldn't you need to give it to a pet by IV? I know an author wrote to Nitschke and she was able to have it sent to her. Then they made it hard to get and expensive. It's frustrating hearing all these people were told by Exit and Nitschke to buy it when it was cheap and easy so they wouldn't have to suffer. I wish I had known. Where are all the granny's and gramps stocked up on N? I bet they have plenty to share. Why did I have to start suffering after Jack Kevorkian? It used to be cheap and easy to end suffering. Now you can't buy or help, you can't get MAiD without a long expensive approval if you're able to do it when you have to be so close to death. They make it so hard to end suffering. You have to have money and be able to prove you are about to die. This is disgusting. What happened to compassion and mercy? The world was so much better not that long ago. Now food, meds, so much makes you sick, it's all about money. I'm old enough to see the horrible changes in the world but I was to young to know when to prepare. Anyone have relatives that had the meds or N or a doctor to call that did?

Because I have read and heard how easy it was to get and painless and quick. Final Exit warned all their members to stock up before it was to late. How sick to take it away from people and make them suffer, put them in debt or wasting away in a home. You work to prepare for old age and lose everything when you're sick from the medication you can't afford or the polluted environment.
I just watched where they went to Mexico and some pharmacies said no some asked for a script on the street from PPeH then a guy walked over to ask what she needed .He said he'd be right back with 3 bottles for 30 a bottle, he told her go to the pet store on the next block and she bought from 3 stores. They also went to Peru and bought and one other place I don't remember but it is in the PPeH

When are you planning to go? I just posted a girl went to Peru Mexico and there's another place in the PPeH, she went to the pharmacies from PPeH 1 said no, one asked for script she went out and a man asked what she wanted he went to his store she got 3 bottles then she went to the pet store and bought 3 bottles at 2 more stores.

And then a unicorn rode up to her, stopped right next to her and said I have been sent here to grant you three wishes. But first you need to hand over the N. I need to take it back to my dying unicorn grandmother who needs it to die peacefully.

When life is a nightmare...

I can see a lot of incorrect informations over here, as a person who has spent one month in Peru, let me give you some updates.
Safety:
When you will land at Lima airport then your destination is Miraflores. This is a safe district in Lima. Police is there everywhere, this place is full of tourists, hotels, restaueants etc. It is 100 % safe.
Other districts in Lima are not so nice, so if you are planing to visit local agrovet shops then the safest method is to use UBER. At leat that is what lical people are recomending, i was using a norml taxis and all my experiences was very good, but ive heard stories about kidnaping from locals.
If you will decide to go outside of Lima then you have to taka a bus or a plane. Both ways of traveling are very safe. Special security is checking your baggage even before you enter the bus. Peru buses and Costa del Cruz are the biggest operators over there and they make sure you would be safe during traveling. I have visited Huacachina and Paracas using buses and taxis and everywhere over there was feeling very safe. Different story is if You will be trying to travel by your own in cities like Ica etc. Those places are not safe, so basicly tourists areas are very safe but outside of it i would not recomend to travel by your own. If you want to visit local agrovets then use uber all the time.

Taking it back home
I have panicked when i was there and i have decide not to take a risk, but after a time and after couple of people who succesed and i know them i would take it back. Obviously not in orginal bottles, but in some different popular one.
Dogs are not trained to find it, they are trained for drugs, tabacoo and money. Also this is true that N is classified as Drug class A, but in my opinion if you get caught ithey will be more likely offering you help as long as it was not for commercial use.

Serial numbers
If i remember correctly bottles does not have numbers on the glass, numbers are on labels. Even if they got then you can put N into different bottle, glass or whatever and damage the bottles far away from your CTB place.

Overall im finding Peru as a beautyful country with plenty lovely places to visit and local people as extremely nice and friendly.
