I know maybe this thread is a little bit too cheap.

Before the Iran invasion I thought I am not sure whether the US is really that stupid to go to war with Iran. It was obvious this would be way different to Venezuela and much more expensive.
I thought maybe it is just a smoke bomb to place all warships in this region. And then Trump gave the go for the invasion. I could imagine persuaded by Netanjahu. According to some news reports MBS also argumented in favor of an invasion but back down when confronted with this report.

As Trump said maybe this war will be fought forever. Trump campaigned to end the forever wars and he just started one. And the right-wingers are divided over Israel. This war might split the MAGA base. Trump already lost supporters over the Epstein files.

It feels like this meme. "China wins by doing nothing." In the Chinese population Trump is very popular because they think he will bring a golden era over China by fucking up the USA.
Personally, I think not all Trump policies are a disadvantage towards China. I think deregulation in the AI sector is extremely dangerous. But having the best AI models can be real advantage. I read something interesting about AI model distilation though. And if this is done all the investments in the newest AI models might be counterproductive. It is very easy method to train a cheap model with the answers of an extrememly expensive model. This is already done by all major AI companies. It is ironic they are angry about copyright infringements when they rob the data from the internet themselves. Here is an article that explains it. https://labelbox.com/guides/model-distillation/

I think the way Trump pressures the Europeans also has strategical advantages for the US hegemony. But for US soft power his policies are a disaster.

I think China can keep out of foreign war adventures and increase the power on the global stage will the hegemon implodes in a rage over losing his empire. There is a lot of huberis in the actions of the Trump administration in my opinion. What do you think?
