Personally, I really wanted to CTB by a bleeding out on my wrist, but I see several people saying that it's a method that mostly fails, but I don't understand why. Is there any way to make this method work more accurately?

it's just really really difficult to do it correctly since the thing you're trying to reach is a bit deeper down and hard to reach. i saw someone write a very detailed post about it, but like they said, it only works in movies. another issue is that if you fail, you'll be hurt and bleeding, possibly too weak to even try again and overall causing more harm than good. it's not impossible, but not worth the risk.

i saw some guy saying something like "your body doesnt let you harm yourself that deep and just enter in a really strong state of despair", so maybe if i drink a significant amount of alcohol, i would possibly go deep enough? with a very sharp knife as well

my memory of what i read is very foggy but i do remember them mentioning that it has a 4% chance or so to succeed. i also do remember reading what you said as well. alcohol might help but with how risky it is i would still advise to avoid it. i imagine most people here have been through a lot already and to then be hurt yet again is just too much..

Bleeding to death from a wrist cut usually takes hours, not seconds or minutes, because blood pressure drops and vessels go into spasm to seal themselves.

Is there a specific area of the wrist where the bleeding is heavier?

I was specifically looking for a painful or even slow method that didn't involve burning me alive, because I think that's the way I deserve to go, in pain, blood, and suffering

Don't try this method. I understand wanting to have a gory and painful death, truly, but this just won't work. It's a non method for a reason.

The chance of you successfully cutting yourself to the point of being able to bleed out are incredibly slim, and the chance you won't regret it at that point are even slimmer.

Take it from someone who tried to decapitate themselves. Being in a situation where you are ACTUALLY GOING GO DIE brings upon an insanely instinctual fear, as you'd imagine. No matter how confident you are that you won't regret your choice (if you successfully get to the point where you COULD die), I promise that you will.
It's like what people say about jumpers, they always regret it once they're in the air.

Also look into time dilation in regards to pain. However long you think it will take for you to bleed out, it will feel 5x as long.
