Help Why so many pill capsules?

Why did he use so many pills? Is there some important reason why he took so much that i'm missing? I'm sure a tablespoon of SN dosen't require that many pills.

I believe he explained it there. 16g of SN but had small pill size so had to split it among many of them.

I got size 000 capsules being delivered so i can probably have 6 or 7 pills
