Why nobody talks about antifreeze?

Sorry in advance for my English.

I only saw a few posts about antifreeze. They said that it would be painful and risky. Cause it takes a long time for it to work. While that's true, it did almost killed me. Yes, it took a long time to work. But didn't cause me any pain or long term health issues.
