I mean really why? Is it due to religious reasons? Society is becoming more secular. Is it because if we're not alive we can't work and make money for richer people? Is it to make sanctimonious people think better about themselves and like they're being moral and virtuous by saving someone who wants their suffering to end? Nobody chose to be born, we weren't born with an off switch. People shouldn't be forced to play a game if the game is always rigged against them.

It's simply that dying painlessly is not easy. CTB requires guts. And I'm honest enough to a degree to admit that at this point I don't have the constitution. One must truly want to die and their pain and suffering is so great that it surpasses the pain and suffering of the act of exiting.

That's pretty disingenuous though, considering the level of suppression and censorship involved in restricting and preventing suicide. Bit like saying you aren't 'forced' to participate in capitalism as you could always choose to be homeless, even as every aspect of society is deliberately designed to make that as unpleasant as possible.

right. suicide is effectively illegal and the punishment is worse than jail in some cases.

i've seen my best friend get lobotomized because she tried to commit suicide. tbf they are calling her schizophrenic and she's having some kind of spiritual disorder (in my view) but the fact is they never would have given her as much Invega Sustenna as they did if she didn't try to jump in front of a train.

I truly do not understand this. Had euthanasia been legal I swear to god so so many people would check out fr. I would at least. there is literally no point in life. Sometimes I wonder, If I were happy and had a whole different childhood and relationships, would I still want to die? Ig yes. Because life is inherently meaningless- serve the capitalists while you can and then die like an ant.

I think mainly- people don't want to experience grief early. Parents don't want to have to bury their children- most of the time.

I also think there is this unrealistic idea that everyone can be 'saved'. That all problems have an adequate solution and that all people are capable of living a fulfilling life. I tend to agree that this idea ignores reality.

There's also the problem that mental illness isn't as visible and understood as physical illness. Which I think- further adds to the assumption that peoole can always recover or- it isn't all that serious.

I understand and I just always suffer so much from being trapped in this terrible, torturous existence I just always saw as a mistake, it's just criminal to me how we exist in this horrific anti-suicide prison world where the suffering and torture of existing is seen as to force and prolong no matter what.

There's just so much evil in anti-suicide, there's so much evil in how dying peacefully is made illegal by humans who want others to be tortured for as long as possible in this existence where there is no limit as to how much one can suffer that never should had been imposed. I'll just always see existence as an abomination, to be forced to suffer in this torturous, futile existence that is just waiting to die anyway will always feel like the most terrible, undeserved punishment to me.
