• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I don't get the difference between these two. Also sorry if this is the wrong place to ask.

overall i dont see much of a difference aside from the layout and how they work. i find the chat to be more of like a facebook chat (although i dont find the loading very well and prefer to use conversation, at least on the phone) while the conversation one is more like one message at a time. theyre both chats though, its more preference i suppose, theyre both for talking to people.

It just seems a bit redundant to me to have 2 chats. It's the same thing with reddit which I also don't understand.

chat are better for real-time conversations with lots of short messages. Kind of like text messages.

conversations are for longer messages that can have titles, formatting, images, etc and you don't expect them to happen in real time. More like emails.

Also conversations can have more than two people whereas chats can't.
