Why is SN a mote popular method than N?

SN is cheaper and easier to get (depending on where you live). But N is considered the gold standard. SN, is just about good enough as a substitute.

I'll second that... Some of us have no access to N. Please don't knock down the "2nd best option" just because you have access to N @VoidDesirer22 . Thanks.

Much easier to acquire than N, much less expensive, and legal to own in addition to it being practically just as lethal as N if one can buy a reasonable amount of time to use it. The only thing N has over SN is that it's the true gold standard when it comes to peacefulness.

I find it rather challenging to source SN here in the cold white north. It seems easier in the US. We have very strong suicide-prevention policies up here.
Loving life and all that. It's quite annoying

I currently don't have access to N. I'm not knocking SN at all. It quite literally has been keeping me sane having it with me while waiting for my N. Im just not delusional to think it's entirely peaceful @dysthimia_king .

Well it certainly has its perks. It was my no.1 choice before I was fortunate enough to get N. They are both solid methods and do indeed give peace of mind.
