We all heard stories about someone injured or sick but they had a strong will to live, so they survived the injury or sickness. But why doesn't the opposite happen? My mind has given up, every night I wish it was my last day, but my motherfucking body keeps going automatically.

Psychogenic death is a thing, but the circumstances leading to it need to be terrible. Maybe we are not quite there yet, or we are much more resilient than we give ourselves credit for.
