I read it's because it's absorbing moisture, which doesn't sound good. I know people say it's normal, but is it a problem if it's too clumpy? I think I also read that it's only supposed to clump within the first 6 months after being manufactured. Is it bad if it continues to clump after that?

It is not like It just gonna drop from 99% to 50% Sn becasue of clumps. I think best thing to do is to not open It without solid reason and not worry about It. It is prob. just a moisture

What if it was never opened? How does moisture get in?

Clumping is completely normal and caused by a lack of anticaking agent. Doesn't mean the SN is degraded.

I just received my sn today and i had heard of the texture but i was still surprised. It's kinda like snow! But with a yellowish tint to it. It does look slightly moist too? Not like wet kind of moist but it's not dry like flour, it's more like those very fine sugars if it makes sense?
Anyway very excited

Yeah it does clump, it's really like snow, when i push it around in its bag it clumps together and crumbles around. Just by looking at it i could almost hear the crunching noise of walking in the snow.

I saw a thread where someone failed SN and one of the replies said their SN looked too clumpy. I don't know, should it really clump into a rock?
