Being angry at him, calling him a coward and all that. Were these people acting on their SI, trying to (subconsciously?) protect themselves from any thoughts that at least sometimes suicide can be rational?

i don't think i remember many people saying things like that.

i remember that time as being peak "you matter and it's okay to ask for help and you are valued and loved and you are not alone and heres the number to the suicide hotline <3" culture.
