why are people cruel? why is the world becoming more rotten and people are more cruel every day and without values? All of that makes me want CTB ASAP

Because everyday living is a struggle for most these days. Shit times for sure!

i ask myself this question everday. i will never understand why the people i find myself around are endlessly cruel and nasty to me. it's sickening how little empathy there seems to be left in this world.

I dunno . . . the best I've got is the venerable "Hurt people hurt people." Although people who have been hurt the absolute worst of all are quite often very kind and empathetic.

Perhaps past trauma is one of those things that helps explain people's cruelty to other people, to animals, and/or to the natural world, but doesn't excuse it.

I think we are all solipsistic creatures that can only do thing to benefit ourselves, and don't have the ability to fully understand another person. And so even trying to help other people only comes from your own points of view. So you will inevitably be hurt by others.

I think a lot of people don't realise that good people are the minority. The very, very small minority. It's the case where, just because you see the goodness of someone - that's just you. They're often cruel to other people that aren't you. It's always been the case, y'know?

Because of social media, and shit, we just see it more. We're also giving people the power to act moraly deprived with no consequences.. So the demonistic qualities of humanity are just amplified.

I don't think it'll ever get better. It is what it is.

I think theres alot of dissatisfaction and unhappiness, and people deflect it on others.

If people are cruel is because life is cruel. As simple as that. Normally, you'll find those that are capable of the worst have been through the worst. There's a perverse consolation in tormenting someone when you yourself are tormented, and as your pain grows the attention turns inward and other's people problems become less visible.

I find that suffering asks us an important question about how we really are. Most people, and that often also includes me, will become more callous (or rather show how callous they always were), a few will become more compassionate. I've always been interested in whether suffering actually betters people, because it doesn't like it, but if you subscribe to some sort of Karmic worldview it should.

It's easy to be kind when you aren't drowning in shit, but the real virtue shines when you're screwed but you don't use the cheap thrill of other's misfortune to console yourself.

I don't really think people are any more cruel than they were years ago. I think what has happened however is social media has made the world a much smaller place and in doing so has made it all the easier to reach out and hurt people like never before.

Simply put, I think it makes humans feel good about themselves, those in pain like to share it, and the devil has won the war on earth.

it's a evil universe, humans, I believe, are born selfish, unkind, and uncaring. atrocities such as war, murder, rape, genocide and torture enacted by sinister characters, rotten to the very core. evil It is suffering of the young and old alike from disease to malnutrition to poverty, life is terrible here all the poor animals living out their misery enslaved in awful shit in a hellhole, life is evil at the very core where everything must kill and eat to keep being alive, still alive in this evil hellhole not that i would ever want to be, to defeat evil you have to be evil i won't rest into there is nothing left, it's a matter of principle you don't let evil exist.

I think we are inundated with toxic things constantly. Maybe there are good people out there doing amazing things. But every social media news article, everything on the news, our tv shows, newspapers. Day after day it's complete negativity. Rapes, murders, death, killing, horrible accidents, natural disasters, abuse, corruption, wars. 24-7. It doesn't add to any sense there is any good in this world at all.

Our culture is isolating, self absorbed. Money and greed and the values of our society are backwards. Our work culture treats us as little more than wage slaves. We are dehumanized, expendable.

Some of us are born into generational abuse, substance abuse, we are all so isolated from one another when we used to live in tribes and human connections are what is most important to us as beings. Now we don't often know our neighbors, have little to no friends, can't find a romantic partner. When we do find someone close to us people are often abused and abandoned.

The world just seems more and more hopeless. We don't value any good traits, we are encouraged to have a type of self love and selfishness that makes us less empathetic. We are supposed to be consumers, find meaning in physical objects, wealth. Sex is more and more meaningless. Human feelings are things we can't even express to each other anymore. Support can be often non-existent and sharing your pain ends up with you being hurt by those wanting to use you or abandon you.

I don't wonder than any person left who still has a sense of humanity that sees the world for what it is naturally feels like suicide is the only solution.

It's simply just the way that people are. It does seem as though a lot of the time people just create more suffering. People can certainly be very cruel for no reason and I think this is why so many people are suicidal in this world.

I've noticed this as well lately, its very sad:/ friendly or suffering people are the main target for bullies
