Thinking of someone suicidal as cowardly is a pattern I see amongst people who don't understand why someone would take their own life.

So... who do you perceive as stronger?
1. The guy who has humongous steel balls with the courage to ctb.
2. The guy who keeps on fighting for decades until he dies.

I admire the courage of anyone that has found a way to ctb. I've heard but never understood the cowardly association used to characterize people who have finally done it. Imo it takes more courage to step into the unknown voluntarily for sure.

I'd only consider suicide "cowardly" in the case of a mass shooter taking his own life after killing a bunch of innocent people or something like that, but apart from that I think it takes a lot of guts to CTB.

There is nothing cowardly about suicide, if someone says that then they have obviously never researched it before so they have no idea as to how difficult it really is. There is nothing wrong with someone deciding to ctb as well, it is a human right. Suicide really is so difficult and of course it requires a lot of courage as the problem is the cruel and selfish society that denies the option of a peaceful exit and people often have to resort to risky methods. There is also the SI as well which tries to keep us alive.

I don't think that staying alive and enduring suffering makes someone stronger. Suffering has no benefit, it is all meaningless and unnecessary, so of course the person who is strong is the one who decides to ctb.
