"An illusion that brings me happiness deserves a truth that shatters it completely." -Wieland.

This quote made me reflect on my own illusions, and in doing so, I understood why I suffered from certain things. That helped me find a relative peace. For me, this phrase was very important.

What about you? Is there a phrase that ever awakened something in you?

This quote by Dr. Seuss:

'Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.'

To remind me to not be ashamed to be myself.

That phrase really captures the spirit of the matter, and I agree with it wholeheartedly. It truly is a good quote.

Your quote makes a lot of sense to me and seems to echo a quote by Fernando Pessoa:

"The whole world, all of life, is a vast system of unconsciousnesses operating through individual consciousnesses. ...[] — that of our concrete being and that of our abstract being — by passing life and the world through them, a superior unconsciousness is made." -
The Book of Disquiet - Fernando Pessoa

The complaint of the depressive individual, 'Nothing is possible,' can only occur in a society that thinks, 'Nothing is impossible.'

There are no solutions. There are only trade-offs."
– Thomas Sowell (economist)

In the past I kept chasing a "fix" for anything that caused me pain... Always ended up trading one pain for another.
Society (through media, advertisement, politics) always tries to sell us solutions and I truly believed them. When I read this simple quote it made me realize that I should give up fixing things, because fixing one thing just de-stabilizes another. Life is just too complex to plan for every possible outcome.

What you said is the pure truth. In this life, we solve problems only to face new ones — it's like filling one hole with the dirt we dug from another hole.

This quote makes me remember a saying which I forgot where did it come from, and that is "You cannot have 0 problem in life. What you can do instead is have 'better' problem in life." An example of better problem would be choosing which book you wanna read next, because that means you are secure enough to relax in where you can read a book consistently. And an example of bad problem would be thinking "What should I do tomorrow so I can have lunch and dinner", because that means you are still struggling to live day by day without any security whatsoever.
