I'd like to know the simple answer to this as well. Should the noose come right on top of the neck right under the chin or in the middle of the neck?

Everyone will give you different answers, but it genuinely depends on your anatomy and your rope and what angle you are going to hang at. Since you are doing partial, you have the option of leaning into it to see if the position is right and if not straightening up and correcting it.

When I tried partial, this is what I did. I would lean forward and give myself a few seconds, and if I did not start to feel like I was passing out, but rather felt nothing or felt like my head was filling with fluid, I would stop, reposition and try again. Partial can be tricky and it usually takes several tries to get the rope position just right.
