  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Where can I post a suicide note online without it being taken down?

I want to post my suicide note and be able to send my friends and family a link before I die. I don't want authorities or social media companies to be able to take it down. I want it to be up forever

I suppose I could just post it here but I'd like something that isn't a forum.

I'm sorry to hear that.
I guess a word document in google drive and then a link to it would do?
I don't think google would take it down like that.
you'd have to make sure they could access it without you having to grant them permission individually, because you may not be able to do that...

again Im sorry you are even in that position, if you ever want to vent anything we are around for support <3

email not an option?

Rent some cheap webspace with a medium-sized foreign (= less likely to follow random and illegal LEA requests or disappear), privacy oriented provider. Pay for a few years in advance. It'll stay up. Best it's gonna get. Even on the big services like google etc. nothing is forever and I think (somebody comfirm, I don't have a google account) that they delete accounts after a few months of inactivity. Only use static HTML, so things won't get hacked.

There are also ways to send time-delayed emails. That way it is just an email and you do not have to worry about posting it anywhere. I think gmail can do a time-delayed/scheduled send and there are some websites that can do it too, I think.

Just remember to schedule them far enough ahead to give yourself time to cancel them if your attempt fails!

Yeah any email provider will do scheduled send. I do them for work with gmail all the time. You can just write the note in the email and have it sent to anyone you want at a certain time. Or add it as a google doc if you want. You could even get ChatGPT to make you a website with free domain name and hosting and put it there.

I'd like them to be able to send others the link as well, so would prefer a website posting that anyone can see if they wanted. And for it to be up forever.

The google docs probably makes the most sense although authorities could still remove it if they demanded.

Was hoping there was a website hosted outside US jurisdiction that you could post anything. Like just a simple blogging service.

Can someone tell me how to make a formal post here? I just got my account accepted. I see no place to make a post.

My personal preference would be Neocities if you don't mind writing some HTML :p I'm pretty sure I've actually seen suicide notes uploaded to peoples Neocities sites before >.< They're pretty chill about what you can put on your site. When/if I kill myself I would probably put my note on my personal website...
