This happened a few weeks ago and it was down for a week or so. I wonder in this is down due to the NYT article.
Likely the reason, that article has been copypasted around on Reddit and other news websites.

I found it on Yahoo News, bdnews24, and a few other websites without paywall unlike the NYTimes. It's also been shared on several major subreddits like news and worldnews.

Actually, I thought it's just another pro-lifer move but now it's scaring me. What if SS gets taken down? I spend the majority of my time viewing those megathreads. It gives me some sort of mental peace. A reassurance that I'd leave this place one day in peace. But now it's really f***inch with my head. Where did those threads go?!
