I own my place...and the place which I think would do the most good is in India. I visited there before my pain got unmanageable and met people working in small villages who truly did good. I don't want to mention the specifics as it is a small organization more associated with Buddhism. But when I go I am concerned with my money going to them and not my family. (no kids)

What about declaring bankruptcy? Not sure if that's an option for you outside the US. Here, the only thing that bankruptcy doesn't cover is student loans.
