Discussion What were/are your parents like?

They were both drug addicts who never made an effort to emotionally connect with me. Everybody else was just a mix of apathy & "too busy" with their own life's.

I'm unsure till this day whether or not they ever truly cared about me, seeing as there certainly was no love involved. I do wonder if this is a multi-generational satanic family whom just keeps quiet about it..

my mum was emotionally abusive/mentally unwell - called me things like "the devil incarnate" and also neglectful - and a compulsive hoarder. It could have been worse. She was also paranoid and blamey.
Dad just kind of left us to it, and would hang up the phone on me. Again could be worse.

I've kind of forgiven them now - used to be really angry.

But if I had the situation some of you had as above, I would not forgive.

@bath salts how dare your dad say it's part of the past. He does not deserve you.
