Just looking for a bit more info on this topic, because laying on a bed while trying the nitrogen hypoxia method (which is what I did in my last suicide attempt) is the wrong way. I want to try a chair or couch this time. I do need a chair that won't fall over, because one of the only reasons why I survived my last attempt, was that I fell out of my bed. I don't want that to happen again.

On Amazon I see medical restraints that are made to latch onto the feet of the bed or chair.

I also read about someone who latches their wrists to their belt loops on their pants.

For chairs people on this forum have used reclining chairs.

Another possible location is in a car you can strap yourself in with the seatbelt

I might try that method of using handcuffs to attach my hands to my belt. I may also use a couch, rather than a chair, because the couch's armrest could prevent me from falling onto the floor. Do you think it would work?

The thing that I still don't know is if you really restrain yourself and it fails how do you get out?

GasMonkey showed his setup....I think he used some sort of beach lounge chair. Looks like there are wrist & body straps as part of the setup

The chair in his setup could be a zero gravity lounge chair.
There are velcro type restraints that are for wrists, ankles and body that are used for dementia patients.
Amz has all of these.
