Should I write in my letter that "my pet sleeps?

I don't know what to do with this situation
Besides, it will sound very twisted to write this idea in my letter (as a last will)

I love my pet
I don't want him to suffer for months and months unnecessarily

My family will be busy and sad
At what point will they feed my pet? Take a walk in the park?
