So, about that population decline and the moral panic around it, i came to the conclusion it is a bag full of wind.

BUT WAIT... THERE'S MORE...

The ones complaining are for the most part 50 plus old morons, statistically, they have the most economic means, and my guess is they still have dicks and cunts, right? It is a very simple concept, the penis goes inside of the vagina, you want more babies? Get to fucking, the hell are you giving me grief for?

We have technology now, TRT, surrogacy, in vitro fertilization, nutrition and training regimes, lifestyle tailored to the last minuscule detail, you can freeze eggs and sperm, genetic profile of the damn embrio to scan for congenital disorders, even genetic enhancements, godamn, you also have the money to access all of this and to provide and educate this new batch to high standards, again, the hell are you giving me crap for?

Don't like the current batch? Make a new one, don't fumble it this time, you can literally freeze your gametes FOREVER.

ALWAYS yapping about the miracle of life and the privilege of being a parent and the happiness and all of that crap, why don't you take the privilege then? All the tools are there, everyone wins, you get your wish, I get to screw right off from your miserable societies, ideologies and world I have no interest in sharing with you or your spawn, what's the problem then? This shouldn't even be a discussion.

Why is this supposed responsibility placed on the shoulders of those who either don't see this as a problem or don't have the economic means to solve it?

idk that I've heard anyone but online probably-trolling accounts outright argue the rhetorical/philosophical position that more children is a moral obligation. I think it's largely just a subtle underlying sentiment kind of out of evolutionary necessity. Who is alive, but the children of people who decided to decided to have children? Idk that "accidents" or SA constitute that significant of a proportion of births otherwise.

I'm reminded of the idea that you and I were probably born because our parents were bored with their lives. I tend to think that at least in 1st world countries this must be the main reason most children are born, even if we're uncomfortable to admit it. But like yea, imagine: you're spending your teens yearning for freedom, spending your early-to-mid 20s learning how independence works in university, college, trades, whatever. And by your late 20s, you're kind of settled in a stable career path, plus probably a stable relationship. Your friends probably did the same, so you all have less time and freedom to hang out all that much. Getting on into your 30s, it starts feeling weird or boring to party like you're still 20. So now you just kind of look at the next 40 years: you'll have money, a house, a marriage, but no freedom to go anywhere or change anything, for risk of losing your progress and having to start over way too late.

What else is there to do but raise children? It would be pretty entertaining, and it would introduce a whole lot of natural social settings once your kids will be making friends with other people's kids. You probably already feel the silent expectation to, being at your age and all. Plus you'll probably feel some kind of pride or profundity, and maybe you can vicariously confront all the open issues you might have had about your childhood. Maybe even build a legacy, if you're a bit uneasy at how temporary and small you are to the world as a whole.

So yeah, I don't think anyone but like religiously deranged people and engagement baiters seriously take the "pro-natalist" position. It's just kind of how the world is set up, from the social expectations to the planned career cycle we give people. There's sort of nothing else to do, and people would consider you a weirdo loser for not doing it, without explicitly arguing for childbirth.
