I mean, I make above the median income, about 40k per year, but my state fucks me with taxes so I only take home about $28,000 per year. I don't buy many things so I have quite a bit saved up. I guess I'd be lower middle class, but am in a much better position than many middle class folks. In half a year that's probably going to change though. I'll have to start paying for my own health insurance and the copays are gonna suck. So at that point it's a ticking time bomb. I guess that's why I was so miserly and saved so much.

I put middle class. I am fairly well off in that I can put money away for savings and still have extra to spend on things. But, I also can not afford a house or a car. So, I have extra money only because I am not paying for the big "status" things.

Personally, I am steadily in the subproletariat, I haven't got a cent to my name. My family is petty bourgeoisie, or lower-middle to middle class. I put lower-middle class.

I was poor on the verge of breaking into the lower-middle/upper-working class before I became ill. Now I quite literally don't have a penny.Currently probably lower middle class. But when my parents retire and I cannot work we will be in a lot of financial trouble. We gonna become increasingly poor. I wish I could kill myself beforehand. It makes me really uncomfortable but my Suicide would traumatize my family more so I will have to wait until they are dead. I am really really anxious about poverty. Even though it is inevitable for me.
