German dishes are not that good tbh.
I can recommend the following: Schnitzel with spaetzle .Not sure how to translate it. Maybe google it.

Damn maybe this thread was not a good idea. I don't allow myself to eat something before I go to sleep. And just thinking about it makes me hungry. Lol

But the following is by far the best. I love it. I don't eat so many dishes with meat. But this is my personal exception. Donor kebap. I am not sure how widespread doner kebap is in other countries. But if you visit Germany you have to try one. Many people think doner was invented in Turkey but that is probably only a myth. Mostly turkish migrants sell doner kebap. But it was invented in Berlin.

It is so tasty. I am not good at describing tastes. I have a weird mechanical relation to food. Due to the fact I have an eating disorder. If I lose a little bit of weight (currently I struggle a little bit). I will go buy me one.

What are your favorite ones?

Paella con conejo. Paella con marisco. Arroz a banda. Arroz negro. Gazpacho. Lentejas. Fabada asturiana.

Basically paella but fabada is awesome too. Hard to pick one!

My personal preference is a very nicely decorated platter, but I also can appreciate a fine stainless steel gravy boat.

Does the US even have a national dish? lol. I can't think of anything that's particularly good. Apple pie can be nice though.

I like only foods that are spicy enough to make my eyes water. So that basically limits me to thai, mexican and indian dishes, maybe the occasional heavily-customized pizza with a shit-ton of jalapenos and banana peppers on it. Specifically like the thai soups like tom yum, tom kha and red curry.

There's plenty! Some of the pinnacles of American cuisine would include: In-N-Out, Burger King, Wendy's, McDonald's, Popeyes, Starbucks, and Subway.

Oh yes, all of these! Especially feijoada.... I should cook more often!

I'm American so do I have to say Burger?

To be fair, most people think of McDonalds-type cheap burgers, but a proper burger made with good ingredients (instead of that shit bread) is a work of art.

I really like pão de queijo from brazil too, they're like snack cheese bread balls.

I'm Vietnamese so I have bias here but my favorite national dishes are "bÔnh mì", "phở", "bún bò Huế".

I also love to eat US' hamburger, sandwich.
