But the truth is, any GTA, but especially Resident Evil. 9 was great, 4 ok, 8 disappointing, 3 horrible, 2 great too... but 7 brought me back into the series.

Minecraft is probably my number one favorite. Reason being, I wish real life could be like that game because even on survival, it's still way easier than real life.

Number 2 would be Half Life (just the first original one though), and number 3 would be Doom 3.

The majority of this is fueled by nostalgia. I think, I already hit this old age, where I'd rather revisit old favorite games instead of trying out new ones. Also, from what I've seen, heard and tried, continuations of my favorite series were ranging from bad to disastrously awful.
Currently revisiting "DMC" 2013 and "Slime rancher" - another oldies but goodies. The first is fantastic visually and has very easy gameplay to pick up for the genre, so it doesn't feel like you're getting a second job trying to master the controls every time you pick up the game, and the second is perfect for turning your brain off and relaxing after long day of work.
There're a lot of other games, especially indie ones, I'm either fond of or looking forward to playing in the future, despite my previous comment, but that'd be it for now.
