I read once most celebrities ctb at the age of 27. I think that sounds like a good age to ctb before you get burdened with a mortgage, kids etc. and you''ll forever be remembered as young.

thats part of the problem "oh they were so young and they had so much to live for and yada yada yada" in some case yes but not all so there isnt really a "best age". plus it depends on the person, like me, im scared of old age, i dont want to live that long.

I think this is a subjective question. It really depends on each individual, their circumstances, and how they feel at the given time. Some would argue that until life becomes unbearable while others may say whenever. Personally, in my opinion (and speaking for myself), I would CTB if and when life becomes unbearable and that I could not afford to hold on anymore. These can include but aren't limited to: terminal illness, severe disability (physical and psychological), sudden drop in QoL such that I wouldn't want to keep living, and more.

Objectively speaking the sooner you die the better.
Here is a quote by Silenus "Oh, wretched ephemeral race ⦠why do you compel me to tell you what it would be most expedient for you not to hear? What is best of all is utterly beyond your reach: not to be born, not to be, to be nothing. But the second best for you isāto die soon."

i'm 19 and i think it's a pretty good dying age. old enough to know what i want but young enough to have not had to deal with kids, family, and more. my life sucks so at least i'm killing myself before it gets worse.

Age 90 when you're in a nursing home full of pain and have to be turned by nursing aids every 2 hours so that you don't develop bed sores and can't move (sarcasm). That was sarcasm. If you are suffering or want to avoid future torture, then age should not be the issue as long as over 18. It should be up to you whether you want to live or die as Dr. Kervorkian said the right to self determination.

I wish I could have gone at the age of 7-9 already...I was still living in my naive and childish world where nobody hurt me (that bad) yet and I genuinely looked forward to things but would have accepted a sudden end as well.
I was also physically way more healthy then now 20 years later and could have prevented myself from going through a lot of pain.

When teenagers and children CTB it's too early IMO. I know this is a cliche but they have no idea what their life will be, and they also experience emotions in a different way than adults do because their brain is not fully developed, so it is likely to be a rash decision. I think 27+ is a good start point, at least you can say that you gave living a good shot.
If I had done it at 13 when I first started thinking about it I would regret It if I could still regret. I would have missed out on some good experiences, and a lot of spiritual growth which I think is beneficial in death, and I know I would have been doing it for the wrong reasons. At least now at 30+ nobody in my life will be regretful or particularly surprised.
I think as long as you don't bring children into the world and make another being suffer.
If i cbted with my first thoughts of it in early teens i would not regret it. My emotions and feelings were quite accurate then. Living longer makes more and more agony every day.
Psychiatry in some area in my country does not diagnose problems in children - they wait until it is possible to identify the disorder in adulthood. When you are incurably disturbed. I would never allow myself to live to this age knowing what horrors await me.
But 27 years sounds like a classic of the genre.
The right age to ctb is such a tough question to answer. You want to get the best ratio of pleasure/responsibilities. I think I would have liked to go in middle school. But I wasn't suicidal. Maybe high school. Still not suicidal but I was showing symptoms of depression. Maybe now would be a good time. I'm 24 so that means I'm young enough to be able to carry out any method I want, and I'm old enough to understand that life isn't getting better.
I would say a person's early to mid twenties are the best time, but extenuating circumstances can change all that of course.

The way I see it, it is better to never be born in the first place. I do not think such a thing exists as a best age as we all have different circumstances. In my case, I believe I should have ctb at an earlier age as it would have prevented years of suffering. We all deserve to have a right to die, an option of a peaceful way out. We should be the ones to decide when enough is enough as only we are experiencing what we are going through. The life expectancy is far too long.
(And we gave it time
All eyes are on the clock
Time takes too much time
Please make the waiting stop
I've given all I have
But it's not enough
So I feel no fear as I
Do as I must)
Since every life and mind is virtually unique, there is no objective best age to do it. It's not dependent on age, but on life circumstances, and how one feels about their own.
27 is perfect. So many great people went on a journey to Neverland at this age.
But so is 28. Avicii was 28 when he cbt. I love his songs. When I heard the news about his suicide I knew I will be joining him soon. If such a great guy couldn't take it anymore, how can I?
But if I knew the future when I was 18, I would do it then.
