What do you think will happen in the afterlife?

After my brain dies i will cease to exist forever. there is no afterlife , reincarnation, soul , mulltiverses, computer simulation.

for one thing there is not one piece of evidence for any of that.

there are rooms fulls of books of evidence for what a human and life is = cells , all life descended from a single cell, evolution

all the time we hear about souls , afterlives and other things. but no one has recorded any evidence of a ghost , spirit , afterlife, computer simulation, multiverses, nothing. and that is with all the technical instruments and everyone has a high defintion camera on their phone . but no one has recorded any evidence of any of that not any scientist nor any person

imo these theories share a common beliefs that life is somehow important enough to program or create or to last. when in reality life is only chemical reactions. life started with naturally occuring chemical reactions. you mix some chemicals in a glass that's what life is.

some one actually did an experiment many decades ago

All cells have the same core cell ancestor that has DNA , RNA, ribosomes , The shared genetic code, similar protein synthesis mechanisms, and common use of ATP as energy across all life forms point towards a common ancestor. for example all that , that cell is inside every brain cell (neuron). and every individual brain cell is exactly the same in a fly, fish, mouse and human.

Well, my concept of heaven would be me and my soulmate (if they even exist lol) to constantly go through different worlds full of wonders and keep living lives in different existences. But there are still many question marks as I don't want to grow old. But something like that, yeah.

No reincarnation because I think everyone is destined to inevitable suffering.

We go to heaven if we have a good relationship with God and we try to follow his law then we spend eternity in paradise with him. If we reject him and his law then we spend eternity without him

hopefully nothing i hope science works that way jesus. in context of heaven in hell i imagine heaven reuniting with lost loved ones and things you love and hell just a loop of your worst fear for eternity. sometimes i wish reincarnation exists.

There's nothing after death, your brain stops functioning and that's it. But I have a weirdly strong belief that I'll somehow 'wake up' in the body of my younger self, and have the chance to undo all my mistakes. Wishful thinking, I know. And with internalized Catholicism, I spend a lot of time thinking "Hell doesn't exist, but it should, exclusively for me" type stuff.

While I do get what you mean, a perfect live still means perfect. It wouldn't matter how tired one is, that would not be tiring and therefore you would have nothing to fear. To not want that would be just rejecting it out of either fear or anger.

+That was just an example, I wouldn't mind a good sleep first before then entering that heaven haha

But in the end this hope is dying out too, so it's just some bitter delusion...

I just believe death to be non-existence which is all I wish and hope for, I'd never wish to suffer in this torturous, futile existence I always saw as the most terrible, tragic mistake, I personally only hope to be non-existent incapable of suffering in any way, I just want the peace of an eternal dreamless sleep where I'm no longer burdened with this existence and all is finally gone and forgotten about. Nothing no matter what would make me wish for the suffering and cruelty of existing, I'd always prefer to painlessly not exist than suffer for the sake of it just to be tortured by old age, to me existence truly is an abomination which is why I only hope for permanent nothingness, I just wish and hope to never suffer ever again.

Even though she was dog, she was my closest best friend I've ever had, my girl Parker, and we understood each other without words, had passed away in 2018, and ever since I've been getting signs she's still here in a spiritual form, and waiting for me on the other side, so I believe very deeply that "Heaven" is real, and a place of comfort and warmth, with passed loved ones, and the reason I don't fear death, but embrace it when the time finally arrives. (Either naturally, or suicide) this "life" as its called is only a test of our character as human beings, I believe, as to whether we join our loved ones, or whether there's something horrible awaiting ("hell") but I believe if we've loved genuinely, and been loved, and tried always to be kind and do what's right, then very nice things await us in the afterlife.

I don't think this is the best place to ask that question. There is a tremendous amount of information about this subject on the internet. Do a search for "life after death".

I'm starting to think we get "recycled", similar to reincarnation, that the soul is somehow placed into another random body. The body dies, or fails, it has an expiry date. The soul? I'm not so sure. In religion I think we believe certain things simply because we were born into that belief. But we could've been born anywhere, so there is no "right religion" in my mind. Perhaps if we find "true inner peace and acceptance" in life, the soul gets a break and may rest forever after in nothingness or a state of calm and love, which could be our perceived heaven. But if we don't find peace in this world (which may very well be hell), we may get recycled to try again. Since I don't think anyone knows, we can only hope to find peace in this randomness, leave this world, and not return to hell.

There's almost certainly something or someone out there in my opinion. What it is I'm unsure about. I've commented on other threads that I've had several 'occurances' in my life that would be astronomical odds to be coincidences - to believe in a coincidence in these occurrences would be hugely far fetched as well. So there is something going on in my opinion. We just don't understand it. Saying all that, while brought up a Christian I'm not relgious at all an don't go to Church. I'm just a normal guy who can't explain with any rational explanation what happened without suggesting another power at work.
