What do you personally believe happens after death? Be honest.

Personally, I think there's no afterlife of any form. We literally become nothing. Consciousness just... goes. And honestly that's kind of horrifying. The human brain just wasn't built to understand that one day we'll return to the nothingness that we came from

I think non-existence. I feel as though humans came up with religions because the thought of there simply being nothing afterwards is scary to most, understandably so. Life is the most addictive and harmful drug.

Non existence. But I'm ok with that. I had a ketamine experience and they say it resembles a near death experience. It was beautiful and painful and everything started flashing at me. That's how I imagine dying will be.

I like the analogy where people compare it to blindness. As in blind people don't see darkness or blackness, and it's even a little incorrect to say they see nothing, because they literally lack the ability to see. It's like trying to see what's behind you without turning around. We won't exist anymore in a way that may be impossible for any living thing to ever comprehend. Maybe there's something after death, but it has no effect on me, the same way there could have been something before life, before I was born.

After Death is Non-existence forever 1 micro seond after the brain dies and they can't reverse the brain death
Death = a human is obliterated for all time
all things die, all systems ho to disorder, .. a human is another animal. why would a hum be different from everything in the universe. the universe is Entropy an wolill also die
Eternal Non-existence is the ultimate bliss the only perfection
To me Life is extreme torture, a hell a trillion times worse than the worst thing one can imagine
Only eternal Non-existence is the opposite of evil life and this evil world
So Non-existence forever is as good and beautiful as that worst hell = life is bad, as the most extreme torture is bad
Visualize the most beautiful thing u can . Permanent Non-existence is a quadrilion times more beautiful than that
The horrorible things far outweigh any garbage they say is so good
For example any human can can get most of their skin burned off in a fire and remain alive. The pain of the burning is unimaginable. What is worth that nightmare : watching a shit click bait "enjoyable" video, eating a fucking sandwich, reading a crap "entertaining" social media post? Not to me not by a longshot

I don't have a strong belief either way. Just an anxious hope that they'll be nothing because I find the prospect of an afterlife designed by the creator of this world- too frightening to think about.

i know deep down that it's nothingness, just like from before we were born, but i also kind of hope it's just an infinite dream where i can be whoever or whatever i wanna be. i find peace in that. :-)

Non-existence is all I could ever believe in and is all I hope for as well, I just wish for permanent peace from this torturous, futile and dreadful existence I just always saw as a mistake, I just want to be permanently unconscious with this painful, futile existence all gone and forgotten, only non-existence can bring me the peace I search for from all pain and suffering,
I believe reality is infinitely complex and unknowable, but I imagine dying would be similar to taking a heavy dose psychedelic in that you get sucked into your mind and everything becomes glitchy and abstract, your sense of reality, space, time, memory and self are completely thrown into disarray and warped and the outcome is reincarnation as some form in some reality with an infinite potential for how it's arranged, so not necessarily this universe as another creature on this earth.
I just don't believe death is simply "non existence" because non existence by definition doesn't exist.
Like sleeping permanently without dreams or waking up. It will be like how your life was before you were born. There was nothing, you could see nothing, and you could feel nothing.
At best, an optimist in me says we will eventually be reborn into another body without any memories of the past, as after all, we started from nothing, so what evidence is there that such a thing cannot happen again.
Meanwhile the pessimist in me says that I will just feel nothing for eternity, which to be frank, is not that bad of an option to me at all, it's still peace after all.
Maybe we'll really cease to exist, completely end, maybe we'll be reincarnated, reborn, maybe we're kept in a space and shown our or recent life, maybe we'll go to heaven if we were good, hell if we were bad etc. the fact is no living person really knows. And I always found it funny that living humans talk so confidently about what happens to us when we die when the reality is that the living will never know what happens when we die and the dead has never came back to tell us what happens after death. But me personally I don't believe in god, sin, heaven, or hell but I do believe in an afterlife, reincarnation, rebirth and hope that in my next life I'm reincarnated and reborn to a family that's not toxic or dysfunctional like my current family is and that my next life is 1000 times better than this one.
Couple of days ago I was in a crowded room and there was barely any oxygen to breathe therefore I fainted... And oh man what an experience it was, it gave me a new understanding regarding death and after life, I felt dizzy then tired then i wanted to sleep then i put my head on the desk and slept a minute later i woke up surrounded by everyone and my legs in the air so my brain worked again, I thought to myself and I welcome you to think about it with me, I only felt sleepy no pain no dreams no nothing so what if I kept sleeping in that void? that's what will happen to your brain when it dies, no pain no dreams just void forever and the best part is you won't know about it so no emotions at all.
I'm hoping it's like before I was born. I don't remember what that was like because I did not exist. I'm hoping it's the same. No afterlife. Just nothing.
by logic uconsciousness=nothingness
anyone with a brain can see that but our brains fear it by default no matter how much tough u pretend to be we both know you're gutted
but death is so fucking unknown u can never tell for sure Nobody can Every religion every theory every near‑death story is just a guess the only ones who know are gone and they don't talk
lights out, just like that. i wouldn't wish to be conscious for any longer. specifically, i like to think of it as permanent sleep. when i ctb, i'll close my eyes, slip into unconsciousness, and never have to wake up to a new horror again... though my method won't really buy into that experience, it's a nice way of thinking about it to help reduce my SI.
