I've done a lot with my life and have experienced everything I wanted to experience, but objectively I feel like a failure. No money, no job, no girlfriend, no friends within a 100 km radius, plus the majority of my family hates me. I can't pay for my own basic needs or take care of myself currently.

After death, the possibilities are endless. We are made of stardust and I believe that we will return to space from which we came, and I believe that when you die you will go to a place that is completely mind. Make of that what you will.

many reasons but the main one is i'm trans and i can't accept it
i believe when we die we get to sleep forever. i think it'll just feel like nothing. that's what's most comforting to me, i'm done with having thoughts.
the optimistic and naive part of me wants to be reincarnated as a pokemon :)

I just hate how tiring, high-maintenance, stressful and mind-fucking life is. It's just so much easier to be soil with no thoughts. Because that is what I believe we become after we die. Thank god. I couldn't imagine having consciousness for eternity.

ear problem where my ears are too sensitive (hyperacusis), an other ear problem (tinnitus) where i hear constant ringing.. and then the worst thing is a stroke i stupidly caused my self to have in 2020 that caused permanent severe brain damage and what makes things worse is that a few days ago i was planning on CTB but then it was terrifying when it came time to actually do it and so now i realized i'm too scared to even CTB and just have to continue living in my life for how ever long i guess.....

my belief: after death we return to spirit world (i don't like calling it afterlife because our native form is in that spirit world; being incarnated as human isn't our real/native form).. we do a life review to iterate through our lives one last time to extract any more lessons from it that we can (and also we get to see it from a wider perspective where we can do things like feel how we made other people feel with our actions), but it is NOT judgemental at all.. the only judge is our selves.. and then we decide if we want to reincarnate again (not always immediately) or stay in the astral realms of spirit world.. the choice is up to us..

Sadly even if I'm suffering with those ear issues and i understand how much frustrating is hyperacusis given you become vulnerable to very little noise and feels as if somebody is putting needles in your ear and it also brings a lot of tinnitus which eventually muffles your hearing.
There are so many problems to being with like I mentioned just above those ear problems, skin issues with sebboheric dermatitis, serious neurological damage which in turns affects every part of my body with intense pain, constant headache.
So, yeah id not ctb then what else to get out of this miserable trap..

mostly just fears about the future. not just my future, but also the future of the world itself. seems to me like it's not really worth continuing to live and do stuff u don't want to if it's all gonna go to shit anyway. it's mostly abt my future though because i do not see any future where i can be happy realistically past the age of like 21 because of my interests and lifestyle. that's why i have to go right before 20 so i can avoid that future where i have to change myself to conform to this society and i can remain my true self forever.

I have severe cognitive impairment and chemical sensitivities from taking antidepressants , live in a messy moldy house where it's impossible for me to function or have any sort of routine.. and I can't get anyone to help

My entire life before this was moderate debilitation from the effects of actually being on the medication and then brain being crashed from withdrawal trying to get off
Barely tolerable torture for the first part of my life followed by complete the intolerable later.

With quite significant changes and help I thought perhaps maybe I could recover some form of life.
At this point I think even with all the help in the world,- which isn't going to be coming my way anyway - I doubt I could reach a point where I would not still frequently think of suicide as the ideal option.

I'll probably always have neurological issues and I'll definitely always have a past that was mostly erased. This is not just relevant for the grief of lost life experiences but the lack of accumulated skills and knowledge the tie together everything in a person's life and worldview and identity.

Several reasons:
1) Loneliness. I always felt detached from people. I kinda understand their emotions, but the feel really distant. Even though I try to empathize with them, most of the times I feel nothing. And it sickens me. Faking emotions sucks. And the worst part it feels kinda one-sided. Because whenever I need someone to at very least try or pretend that they get it, they don't do shit.
2) I feel like failure. I have a profession I hate, I run away from it and do other stuff, but I hat it as well. And the things I feel genuienely attracted to are not profitable enough to dedicate myself fully to them. And, of course, there's my family which just drops a shit ton of expectations on me. And I must do whatever they want me to do, because I have no other people who show any kind of affection.
3) I hate myself. I hate all my imperfections. Physical, mental and so on. Sometimes I try to change it, but it's never enough. And I lost all hope to ever be "enough" for someone to be genuinely loved.
4) Considering everything I wrote before, I am forced to be anything but myself. Which is sickening and I hate it.

Originally it was being bullied in middle school for having seizures and being in the hospital a fuckton and loving Pokemon (which I still do). After middle school when no one gave a fuck anymore, shit only got worse mental health wise. 2024 was also a shit year for me. 2 of my friends who I could talk to about my problems fucking died, and I lost my dog who saved my life twice while I was having a seizure. One died in a motorcycle accident and one died doing a FUCKING TIK TOK CHALLENGE OF TRAIN HOPPING ON FUCKING FREIGHT TRAUNS! 2024 was rough for me. I was gonna make 2025 my year but that didn't work out either. The start of 2026 was good for me but its gone down hill the past 3 months. T_T
As for after death, I believe we just sleep eternally without dreaming at all. I hate to say it, but I believe its that.

My mom has been a nagging bitch for my whole life; ever since I was a kid I have wanted to move away and be independent. Back then, I couldn't foresee that I would consistently be afraid of human interaction, and as a result am too much of a pussy to make strides. I think it would be significantly easier to pick myself up if unemployment wasn't ridiculously high plus my country is in a recession.

These are problems that I should be easily getting over and yet I can't shake it.

The problem is myself - years of disappointment piling up. I want to believe there's a some sort of spiritual realm between lives and karma as a learning process rather than punishment, but there's no strong empirical evidence, same goes with major religious claims.

As far as I can recall, I believe it has been nearly three years since I last posted here. Anyhow, as would likely be true for most people, a lot has happened since then. If I were to try and give a succinct answer to this question, I would say probably my very bad paranoia, lack of motivation, narrow interests, difficulty knowing how I feel, asociality, etc., due to a mental health condition. Said condition is why I haven't posted here or really elsewhere online in a long, long time. Between December 2023 and January 2025, I was in career school and slacking, watching life pass me by. I went from doomscrolling, rotting in bed playing vidya, and watching kino to giving up kino and vidya altogether. I haven't watched any new shows or movies since Febuary 2024, and as to video games, I haven't played them since March of that year. By May of last year, I managed to build up some drive to do things. I now have a job (local PC repair person) and am no longer a NEET.

Existence itself is the true problem and I just find it so terrible and dreadful how this existence was imposed at all causing all this suffering and pain all for the sake of it, all that existence ever does is just torture existing beings and I'll always see it as a mistake to exist, for me non-existence is the positive solution.

Only non-existence can solve and bring me peace from what I see as the true problem which is existence itself, I'll just always and only hope for the peace of non-existence and I'll always find it so deeply undesirable to exist in every way, no matter what this existence should never be imposed. I'll always find it an abomination to suffer in this existence so torturous that just causes all this cruelty, harm and suffering with no limit as to how much one can be tortured, it's just so horrible how a human can be tortured in this existence for so long just to face the terrible extreme agony of old age.

I started having suicidal thoughts for the first time when I used to get bullied, I hated myself so much. And my family played a role in this too. I can't remember a single moment when I'd be geniunely happy since then.

and what do you believe happens after death?
Too long to list or discuss and no one needs to know lol
Oops I meant my problems and reasons for thinking about dieing all the time, are too long to talk about with anyone, but yes probably what happens after death is too much to get a grasp of either, we just don't know, maybe that's why we don't. I'd rather not discuss my reasons for wanting to die with anyone other than who I do it with, because I'm now leaning toward I don't want to die alone necessarily, maybe with someone else. Apparently, the universe is endless or something, so who knows what happens to us after death…

Yes existing vs not is a big thing, like organic vs inorganic matter. And existence with conscience vs. without, like a bacteria or plant are in existence. A rock or dust or hydrogen exist but not as a "being" existing. Hmmm, funeral cry I'm glad you at least existed to be here so as we better think of these concepts, anyways thanks! 💕 (and in 100 years no one on this forum will exist here at all…)

my life is "perfect". I have never been victim to extreme circumstsnces like hunger or poverty. Silver spoon, etc.

I have wanted to kill myself since I was 10. I am 23 now.

I don't want to make up beliefs on what happens after death. All "evidence" points to matter and energy being conserved. That is mostly a basic fact. I don't see why the human body would be exempt. If my constituent matter and energy continue even after I'm dead, I'm not sure whether my suffering would ever stop. The suffering could go on, whether I'm decomposing in soil by the fungu beneath, or being burned to ash in the funeral pyre.

Life is a prison and there is no reason not to think that all things on earth "suffer". Its probably just a cycle of suffering like everything else in a natural system

and what do you believe happens after death
I do think that there is very limited evidence for the idea that suffering ends after death. The matter and energy associated with your life still exists, so the capacity for suffering will always exist even after you are dead.

Believing that suffering ends after death REQUIRES determining the "consciousness" of all living things, which is basically impossible.

Dogs could be suffering immensely as well. They might just be materialising and enduring their suffering in a way that is very cute and affectionate to us humans.

My problem is that I was raised by losers who helicoptered me into oblivion, and the inability to act out my true self because that would require not only to undo the moral programming, but to attain all skills that never got the chance to develop. In reality, I don't even want to be transgender or feminine. I would have preferred to be a really unfair bully man instead and have some kind of job that consisted in ruining other people's lives. That what I actually want to be, was meant to be, by nature.

If you think about it, of there's no afterlife then from your own perspective after you die there's no difference between One nanosecond and 99 billion year. So technically the moment you die is the same moment the universe ends.
