I understand the desire in accessing more explicit media, especially as a outcome of my years-long hyperfixation on seeking out differing sorts of shock content. Is this healthy? Obviously, no.

Today, I stumbled upon what appears to be a sudo-archive of specific gore media and associated URLs. On last.fm, of all places. What's your perspective or speculations on why this page exists?

I just saw this but…That's so strange. On last.fm of all places? And I know these are the descriptions of legit videos, regrettably I had a phase when I was very depressed, I just don't really get why these are described on THAT website…

My best guess is that it's a pseudo archive of well-known gore media. Probably a small sub-group who use the platform to recommend certain videos/media to others to look up.

I hate how I recognise the majority of these, but I noticed other "artists" named after other existing shock sites on the side.
I am assuming this is a method to bypass censorship on search engines like Google? Like to know what website URLS to look up. Since people find out about these stuff on platforms like TikTok and YouTube, and then get curious and start searching for it? Just pure guess. I am leaning heavy on this especially with the UTTP-people who were spamming YouTube with shit from sites like Kaotic. Quite vile.

Never visited Last.fm until today, and I noticed each "song" has a download button next to it. Do you know what the file contains? I have to admit I don't trust it enough to download, even if it is relevant media.

Yeah, I'm familiar with a few of them. The download buttons don't go anywhere—they just redirect to Amazon or Apple Music. I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head.

My first thought was it's maybe just one really weird guy scrobbling his gore watching activity to last fm somehow, because artist or tracks on that site can be user generated right? From anyone's song metadata no matter how weird it is?

I don't know much about the site, apart from it being a song archiving database. I had a similar assumption, but the number of "listeners" and "followers" that the user has makes me think that maybe other people may have engaged with the page.
