Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Leaving a wee pile of your folded clothes and stuff on the beach and walking into the sea to drown - do you guys think it could work? It's one of those methods that I've seen in media/books a bunch of times, but never really heard of in practice. I think it would take a lot of perseverance to overcome the SI while wading deeper and deeper, but damn it sounds so tempting to me right about now :ehh:

If you do it at night and dont know how to swim sure. But it will be 4+ minutes of excruciating pain, panic and stress. Wouldn't recommend drowning. I almost drowned once and it is the most painful thing ive ever experienced.

I'd imagine doing it that way is likely to fail because you wouldn't get farther out than you could easily return from. So if you struggled with SI, it's easy to turn around and go back.

Drowning yourself seems pretty hard based on survival stories I've read. I think to be sure, you'd need to go far out in a boat or something and get yourself stranded out of reach of safety. Which I think would be horribly scary.

It seems like this is sort of a fantasy you may have by the last line you posted. I don't know if you're a writer or an artist, but maybe you could illustrate it somehow? Sometimes I think about my most romantic CTB option sometimes. Jumping from a large building and letting the wind sweep through my hair until everything is just... gone. But obviously, that's not the way I want to go for many reasons. I think that a good idea may be to think about some reasons that you may have alone with what's practical, and what brings you comfort in thinking about.
