VAT tax for SN from IC?

Went ahead and bought SN from IC. The thing is that this product costs 59$ and in my country we gotta pay VAT tax for any package that exceeds 10 euro. The pack will arrive at the special post office where they open it,ask what's inside and look as well. How the hell am i going to convince those guys that i bought salt worth of 59$? Not to mention that they might as well see the shipping tax which exceeded the 59$ so even more dubious. I m so scared now that they'll destroy it/call the cops etc.

I assume you live in Germany or Austria. Nothing is tax free anymore. So what you say about the €10,- can not be true. The €10,- on the german website are only an calculation example.

exchange rate: US$1,- = €0,95

Germany:

US$59,- = €55,98 x 19% = €10,64 + €5,- service fee = you have to pay €15,64

Austria:

US$59,- = €55,98 x 20% = €11,20 + €6,- service fee = you have to pay €17,20

If the package was shipped via UPS or Fedex, the service fee for customs clearance might be higher.
