I noticed more embed media content has been contributed lately, whether audio or video. The practice is common through PMs as well.



The integrated host/post function for videos of SS actually is limited. It has a quite short duration/size limit.

www.streamable.com is a readily super easy service which allows for longer duration, without clustering the ressources of SS.
It can work with the Tor browser without problem, if privacy is on your mind...


Just copy & paste the links uploaded vids into SS post.

This prevents to rely on the obnoxious YouTube or Vimeo. No account required, more practicality.

So, for free (no paid upgrade)m the duration limit is 10 minutes, which is likely 10 to 15 times more generous than SS.
If the file is longer, it immediately proposes an editor to cut a segment with start/end time on the fly : really practical!

Completely forgot about this service but it's even way better and complete. It offers recording, editing and hosting capabilities in the best manner
