Help Unique Ligature for partial hanging

This is a Dog Grooming Restraint,
Could It work for partial hanging?
With some modifications of course, (Minus the front black pad there.)

I have no idea. And I don't know if that padding would make it easier or harder to ctb. I guess seeing how short it is, it might be more difficult to find a place for it, but then again, I've seen a photo of a man who died after he hang himself from a bed (and laid on the floor).

There also things called dog show leashes. I suggest googling them, there are many different kinds of them. For example:

They'd be longer and not have that padding.

It would need to be able to support up to several times your weight due to the torque from twisting- I just think the metal part would break.
