Help Trying to perfect the "night night" method.

Recently I've been experimenting with ligature and "night night" but I cannot for the life of me induce a blackout when using padding.

I've been experimenting for hours over the course of a few days on the padding, positioning and pressure but could never get close to cutting off the circulation.

Does anyone have advice or experience in the matter that could help my obsessive need to master this way to ctb?
