It's difficult to know that close to half of the trans people I have known personally have ctb and about 95 percent have attempted .... a majority have substance abuse issues , self harm and or have a eating disorder. It makes me sick how horrible people treat us and everyday I wish I could join into the statistics of trans suicide ....
Being trans is both the best and worst thing that can happen to a person.

I am also a transgender person, and living with other people at the place where I started my treatment, I noticed that most have had problems with bullying and prejudice. I myself suffered a lot. I hope the world becomes a better place, where people can respect each other more. I also hope everything goes well for you in life and in your transition.

Biology has never said there are only two neatly packaged, perfect genders. Biology says sex itself is messy as hell: intersex conditions exist, chromosomes vary, hormones vary, and bodies don't follow tidy rules just because someone online wants them to.
And gender isn't even the same thing as sex. Gender is about identity, culture, psychology, expression. Every human society for thousands of years has had more than two gender roles. This isn't some Gen Z spell gone wrong its been apart of our world for almost the same amount of time humans have existed.

I think transition saved me for a while; I was so enamored with everything. And when I had trans friends I felt connected.

It's just not the easier life, even if now I don't hate myself. It's hard to feel safe and understood and respected.

Okay, as a transgender woman (I don't care the debate if I'm actual or not regardless my Hormone therapy status), I know it's a delicate matter, but being transgender didn't make automatically suicidal. We carry our own struggles if we are cis persons too. We could be bipolar, or depressive, or whatever mental disorder, but that isn't fuel by our gender identity.
I'm tired of the bigots memes of the 40% and that meme of the trans woman hanged in trans flag socks. I'm tired that the society discriminate us.
And I only hope that it could be a change in the next generation like occurred with the left handed people. Until the XX century, left handed people were obligated to use the right hand. Now no one cares beyond the curiosity. Well, I hope the transgender could achieve the same status.

ive been cutting for years, and self harming in general for even longer. wish i had alcohol again but i had all of mine taken by friends as well as my ID after getting wasted and ending up on a bridge. guess i should just be happy i have people who care about me but... idk, emotions are complicated.

I've had so many instances of just bad decisions... just ending up somewhere when I'm drunk or overly high . I sometimes wish I actually had people who cared
