This week, the next month... really terrible times to act... is January enough time to wait?

I agree, I do not want to potentially influence a lifetime of holidays for others in a bad way for those who might care; however, those in my life, knowing I have a brain injury and can barely function - have actually made my condition worse, including assault 3 weeks after a severe concussion.

And yet still I would wait if I had time. January is out for me as well due to birthdays.

I am hoping that the letter I leave will mitigate some pain (if they actually care) - but they don't, I think they will be relived.

I really wish I would have done it sooner.

You make a very good point though. If I could wait, I would just because of the time of the year.

If you are having concerns about how the holidays will be affected, then yes, waiting till at least January would be your best bet.

Truth be told these months suck to CTB.

I'm going through this myself. I'm ready to go, but I'm concerned about the effect on those I love, particularly at this time. I might wait until mid-January.
