Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

It depends on your country. If you're in the USA, apparently the trusted sellers are very good at concealment so you shouldn't get in trouble.
Some risk factors:
- Not washing your bitcoins or using a VPN
- Using fake names and address -- using a fake name and sending to an abandoned home is much more suspicious than just sending it to yourself. So is sending to your house but using a fake name. I'm not sure if this is still the case though, probably someone else who has actually ordered N will know much better than I do.
Also apparently in the USA, sometimes they'll send you a "love letter" and hold your package at the post office. If you go to pick it up then you'll be served legal notices (the love letter) but you can also ignore it and just be sure not to do it again since they'll have you on survellience from that point on. On Dread (dark web reddit) people say it happens more often with repeat and bulk buyers, or first-time buyers who didnt take precaution or ordered from shady sellers.
Also ofc if you inform others that you are buying N, and they are concerned for you, they can report you so be careful about that.

Depends how strict customs is in your country. It seems like a good majority of users here have gotten it without issue, but there have been a few times where police showed at their home. It's just a chance you have to take if you want to use N.
I think the risk is fairly low if you use VPN and buy through D with a secure e-mail address. Even if you get caught for a small amount, you are more likely to be sent to psychiatric evaluation than to face real charges.
I've had various substances acquired in such a way for 3 decades and have only ever had one detected. That resulted in confiscation and recieving a confiscation letter and a warning,as it was deemed enough for personal use only.

Ask them to use the name of a former inhabitant of the address you are sending to
Keep it unopened in case of a controlled delivery
After a few days, you can stop worrying

Is that a bit dangerous? Could it be that person has mail forwarding set up that would result in your package being sent to their new address? Also, what is a controlled delivery?

fair point. i guess i get a hell of a lot of post for forer tennants and it's been a longstanding failsafe. Maybe put a "c/o" before the name so it's not explicitly for you, just sent "care of"
