There's no way for me to predict when the train is coming (unless there is a way I don't know about.) I just have to be consistent about laying down on them at similar times each day until the train finally comes. This is going to be annoying. I don't wanna see my birthday...I hate people, there are so many fucking assholes...

And yes the method I wanted was a gun but I have no money to acquire one.
I don't like the idea of hanging at all but if all else fails me...I guess I have no choice. I just need a good spot for it.

Passenger trains have schedules that are public... freight trains not so much... but you could certainly observe in an area and get an idea of general train frequency. I mean, you might not know exactly when... but you could perhaps narrow it down to "you probably just missed it and will be 12+ hours before the next one" vs "you haven't just missed one so it could be anytime to 10-12 hours". or some such.

Be careful with an attempted suicide by train as it could leave you with permanent injuries. Those attempts don't always succeed and when they fail, it's terrible.

i have a train nearby too. every time i pass by it i look at it and wonder the same thing. i think this is the method for me but it's unfair for you to not get your first choice. i hope it all still works out the way you want

There are other methods available, but if you want to - you can try searching for schedules of passenger trains - that could be the easiest. For example in Poland where I live I can easily see where each train is and see it's route so I can just say that okay I will go 10km from station X lay down the time train will leave that station and then wait - I would also rather look for express trains (if you live in Europe that would be InterCity categories) - they go faster and they pull heavier trains - which means it would be harder to slow down in time, also try doing it at nighttime and wear black clothes.

But again, generally I would suggest you doing it in more peaceful way, in a place more comfortable than train tracks. Don't create delays, please.

I'm in America, the passenger trains are ~30 minutes from where I live and I have to drive there. Public transport is shit here. The fright tracks are closer, I'd still have to drive most likely but it is what it is. Yes I'm aware of other methods but I'm doing what is preferred.

I live right on the edge of some freight tracks and Amtrak rails are also super close. I think of doing this everytime I hear the train roll by.
I also used to hop freight back in the day so it would be a fitting way to end.

But like you said - the unpredictable nature of it is annoying. The freight goes by too slowly so it'd have to be Passange Amtrak which is going by often and FAST so no chance of them stopping. But damn would it be a mess.

My step father retired from the railroad and I got to hear him bitch plenty about jumpers clogging up their system lol so I know how many people such a thing inconveniences which also doesn't really appeal to me.
