It's nearing the end of my second month here, and I haven't been provided with the work laptop they said would be sent over two weeks before I started. I hate having to use my personal system for work, even having a remote desktop pollutes the thing.

They keep telling me that it'll come. In the meantime, I have to try and pick up my techstack on my personal computer. Which is not really a robust system.

I'm barely working at all, just learning stuff and writing on AO3. It's really fun writing for DC, the minimum bar is really low thanks to the quality (or lack thereof) some of their runs from the last decade. And web development has been easy to understand so far, so no pressure yet.

500th post. Thank Cthulu. Absolutely HATE that hideous green. I wish I could have stayed teal, that was the best color. I can live with whatever this color is, though. Chartreuse? Olive? Whatever it is, it's better than that barf-making green.

Incidentally, chameleons are fascinating creatures. Not only can they change colour, they have prehensile tails, 360 degree visions and a really long tongue. They are also really hard to keep in captivity. @Sensei was that boring enough or do you need longer?

It's a kind of olive green color on my phone, so I can live with it. Much classier than it was before.

Housekeeping is making my life difficult today. I check this guy in and his room wasn't even cleaned. So I upgraded him to a better room. He comes down and tells me there's a half eaten cheeseburger in one of the dresser drawers. I just told him it was part of the room upgrade. :pfff:

Meanwhile, I am supposed to have a stand-up meeting in about 35 minutes. Which has not been happening for the last two days, for some unknown reason. At least, that means I've got time to do my own thing.
