i am a 3o year old guy and I live in Ind_ia . A Week before i had refilled my 3.1 Liter(Water Volume ) N_itrogen cyl_inder which i had bought 3 years

before , the c_ylinder was completely empty no pressure at all , i had to completely empty the cy_linder when i was relocating to another city

and recently the suffering in my life has become so severe , i had bought and kept the cylinder 3 years before as a means of reassurance

and feel ease that i have instant painless D_eath at my disposal

So a week before i took the cyl_inder to an In_Dustrial Ga_ses dealer at my town and asked them if F_ood G_Rade N2 is available they said

yes , i think it was thE same In_Dustrial Grade N2 they sell that they refilled in my Cy_linder . Previously i had searched on

possible contaminants on Industrial grade N_itrogen , read that Benzene Aldehydes hydrocarbons are common contaminants found in

Indu_strial Grade N2 . These Contaminants are Corrosive / Irritants in Nature

SO I wasnt sure about going for the "procedure" without being sure of the purity of N_itrogen . What i did was i inflated a polythene bag

from regulator at 15L/min and instantly put over my head and took a deep breath . I kept the bag for like 30 seconds , then i felt instant

iritation in my eyes as well as iritation in my chest when inhaling , and on the next day to double confirm i connected Output of the regulator

to baloon and half filled it and and deflated the baloon in to my mouth , felt light headed instantly felt discomfort in my chest ,

now i have been coughing and sneezing (not serious) for the last two days . (chest congestion)glad that i didnt go ahead with it

I am allergic to dust and have rhinisitis , i wonder what went wrong , is it the purity of the N2 to be that is to blamed or contaminents

within the fully depressured cylinder . would be greatful if you could share some thoughts

I cannot afford a N2 PURITY meter at this time . its so costly

Hi, I was wondering if you found an answer to your question?
i am still alive , never i found the answer . the nitrogen i bought from multiple sources here in India wasnt killing me or doing me anything , yes twice i found the gas in the cylinder irritant , irritation in chest as well as eyes . i believe it didnt do any other damage to me and last time i refilled the cylinder i could inhale from the cylinder but it wasnt doing anything . i was confirming with pulse oxymeter my oxygen level never dropped . so at my place i think its impossible to get 99.9 percent nitrogen , there is a hand held Nitrogen purity meter which is portable it costs like 300 or 400 USD , IF you could afford it please buy it . you can be sure about the quality of nitrogen before going for final act . goodluck

Glad to see you comment.

I did purchase that hand held Nitrogen purity meter here in the U.S. As my N2 testing was not like yours specifically, yet certainly unpleasant. I thought it might be a purity issue as well, hence purchasing the meter.

The purity was apparently Not the issue. With confirmation with the meter and another purity test with the Nitrogen distributor. Therefore I believe it's something I'm not doing properly as I have a quality setup.

Not knowing India's regulations, is it possible to ask your nitrogen sources to confirm the purity with certification. I was able to view the purity testing myself. ~ I found an online source that provides shipping the cylinders filled. Possibly is an alternative option?

Wishing you the best.
