  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

There's a constant battle going on in the human body between two different groups of natural chemicals or hormones. The "happy/excitement" group (dopamine, serotonin, endorphins, and oxytocin) and the "fight and flight" group (mainly adrenaline, noradrenaline & cortisol).

The first group combats the latter group when we feel excited or happy about something. Long-term and chronic anxiety is normally the result of someone being stuck in fight and flight mode in an almost constant fashion. This is simply not what these natural chemicals were designed for, they were designed to produce very short-term and intense bursts of extreme energy and strength.

The short-term bursts serve the purpose of allowing us to flee and escape danger, or to fight off something or someone who is a danger or threat. When someone is worrying or is in fear almost constantly, or on a long-term basis, this creates less intense and long-term production and secretion of these fight and flight chemicals into the bloodstream. This creates chronic anxiety and/or stress.

The best and healthiest way to fight this problem, is to find some things in your life that make you excited and/or happy. It sounds simple, but may or may not be, depending on the various circumstances in your life.

The underlying reasons for anxiety and stress vary from person to person, and some may be beyond our control (PTSD is one example). We all have the power and ability however, to seek out and find thoughts, things, activities, and relationships that can potentially create joy, happiness, and excitement in our lives.

Since people who are suffering from chronic anxiety are basically fighting a (natural chemical) war in their own body, it makes sense to use all the natural weaponry that we have at our disposal.

Obviously there are also prescription medications that can be used to fight this war, but the truth is, that along with being far healthier, the natural chemicals that are produced by our own body are far more powerful and effective, especially long-term.

If and when we are winning this war, this makes it far easier for us to get a good night's sleep as well, which in turn will also dramatically improve our health. Sometimes, all it takes is for us to be fully aware of the chemical processes that are taking place in our body, for things to dramatically improve. It can take a lot of the fear out of what people are experiencing.

ANYTHING that creates enjoyment in your life, will cause your body to create powerful hormones that will combat the stress hormones. One thing to be careful of though, is don't go bananas on any one thing, especially eating.

Up until recently, experts believed that only specific foods and a handful of activities cause the body to create endorphins, but now they realize that ANY form of enjoyment causes this to happen.

There are many other natural chemicals that our body produces, many of which are produced automatically, and are necessary to achieve and maintain homeostasis (balance). I personally find the endocrine system (our natural chemical factory) to be an incredibly fascinating system in the human body. Especially since it gives us such an incredible amount of power over our own health & well-being, without needing to use external drugs.
