Painful feelings outnumber pleasurable ones 1000 to 1. It's a bad deal and I want my money back. I will expose this pyramid scheme by giving it a terrible review on yelp. One fucking star.

Side note: many people in my orbit are announcing pregnancies right now and I'm sad for the kids regardless of much I love their parents. This place is hell... I think births should be mourned and funerals celebrated instead of the opposite being true.

I feel this way, too. Whenever a friend tells me they're having a kid, my heart sinks. And when somebody I know dies, I don't feel sad, I just think "well, they're in a better place".*

There's a whole movement around this - anti-natalism - the belief that procreation is simply morally wrong. It's gaining ground with the climate crisis I think too. Thank god. I think most of us here wish we were never born.
