So last night i was worried the rope i had wouldn't hold my weight, it did. Looking to my future there are options/opportunities but truth is being alone and knowing how things will play out, I just don't have the energy to push myself again. My real options are somewhat limited to being none.

I set up the rope but let the noose side be a lot longer about about a foot off the ground then stood in the hoop so i was only being held up by the rope, think a one sided swing.

that is a very good idea actually - lack of certainty that the rope would hold was a major deciding factor for me, and I'm sure many others as well have chosen less reliable methods for fear hanging would fail
