Despite the title, if a "no trace" ctb method existed we wouldn't hear of it, but I am deeply interested in keeping my body to itself after I CTB. So far my research led me to this thread where a user describes different possible disappearance methods. Some people have also mentioned consumption of the body via wildlife animals (which, I have my own gripes about) as an only real and practical way to have your physical body removed. This has led me through a very elaborate and thorough rabbit hole into self immolation after CTB a more... "less painful" way. I've been researching accounts of various CTB methods & self-immolation "accidents"... but something is just very apparent in all of this— it seems almost fantastical with varying degrees of success. The issue with immolation— with fire— is that you can see it and depending on how large a fire is or how long it burns there will be an indicator that you are where you are. I assume eventually someone will come snooping. That and weather conditions determine how long and hot a fire burns (especially depending on the accelerator of choice). It made me table the idea of self immolation completely as a means of tending my corpse after CTB but I am painfully stubborn. I truly wish to die completely alone, and for my body to follow after me.
My current drafts are incredibly subpar so there is no visioned 'how-to'. I just have this revolving thought— can it be done?
If you're curious as to why I've set upon such a laborious journey to find the answer to that, it all stems from my complete discomfort of the autopsy process and how you truly have no say into a lot of preparations that are done to your body after death. Especially so if you cannot afford a written will or any legal documentation. Even more so if you are truly estranged from family and friends alike. I mean before any of that comes into question the first thing done with a discovered body is police involvement or investigation, then transport to get an autopsy done on your body where they then speculate how you died.
I truly wonder if anyone else has shared these sentiments, and if there are any actual accounts or documentations of people basically trying to prepare their own grave site. That is what I am most interested in... doesn't necessarily have to be specific to immolation.
