Despite the title, if a "no trace" ctb method existed we wouldn't hear of it, but I am deeply interested in keeping my body to itself after I CTB. So far my research led me to this thread where a user describes different possible disappearance methods. Some people have also mentioned consumption of the body via wildlife animals (which, I have my own gripes about) as an only real and practical way to have your physical body removed. This has led me through a very elaborate and thorough rabbit hole into self immolation after CTB a more... "less painful" way. I've been researching accounts of various CTB methods & self-immolation "accidents"... but something is just very apparent in all of this— it seems almost fantastical with varying degrees of success. The issue with immolation— with fire— is that you can see it and depending on how large a fire is or how long it burns there will be an indicator that you are where you are. I assume eventually someone will come snooping. That and weather conditions determine how long and hot a fire burns (especially depending on the accelerator of choice). It made me table the idea of self immolation completely as a means of tending my corpse after CTB but I am painfully stubborn. I truly wish to die completely alone, and for my body to follow after me.

My current drafts are incredibly subpar so there is no visioned 'how-to'. I just have this revolving thought— can it be done?

If you're curious as to why I've set upon such a laborious journey to find the answer to that, it all stems from my complete discomfort of the autopsy process and how you truly have no say into a lot of preparations that are done to your body after death. Especially so if you cannot afford a written will or any legal documentation. Even more so if you are truly estranged from family and friends alike. I mean before any of that comes into question the first thing done with a discovered body is police involvement or investigation, then transport to get an autopsy done on your body where they then speculate how you died.

I truly wonder if anyone else has shared these sentiments, and if there are any actual accounts or documentations of people basically trying to prepare their own grave site. That is what I am most interested in... doesn't necessarily have to be specific to immolation.

It's truly very difficult, I think you would have to prioritize disappearing over all the other issues that people are usually concerned about (like peacefulness, reliability, and speed).

If it's the most important thing to you, it could be done, but otherwise it might be better to focus on accepting how your body will be handled after death. For some people that acceptance is a long journey, and it's completely legitimate to take your time with it.

Thinking of my body being handled after death doesn't give me pleasant feelings, that's for sure. But I know that when that time comes, I won't be perceiving anything, and I won't be attached to my body in any way. So my autopsy then is essentially the same thing as all the autopsies that are happening in the world right now... I don't perceive or experience them at all. It just happens without my knowledge, apart from me.

I think disappearance is my highest priority, but so is reliability. I wouldn't (read: can't) be mad at myself if I were to go through tedious preparation just for my body to still experience the hands and eyes of another... but I at least want to try.

It's true that many of my previous attempts have been focused on speed and reliability ignoring "peacefulness" and any pain (physical or emotional) experienced and not really caring about discreetness/disappearing. I figure if I'm to continue living I might as well put my all into my dying. It's just difficult to... really see something play out that you can't exactly reference. If it's just difficulty from your perspective and realistic to an extent... I appreciate you taking the time to read through my post and providing this response.

I honestly can't think of a way to ensure nobody touches your body after death. Is there really anywhere in the world you could go where no one would find you? Maybe some sort of pilgrimage to a far off jungle or forest, find a cave or someplace secluded and do it there? It would take a lot of planning and preparation but if that's your final wish I think it's worth honouring it.

If You wish to disappear and body not found, easy. Get a 5K jet ski, tie a floaty dingy to it. Drive 30km off shore. Lie down In the floaty dingy and ctb through nitrogen gas or SN. After a few days a wave will certainly knock you over. There is also timed clips that will unlock after a certain set time. So if you want to disconnect the inflatable raft from the jet ski when you are dead to increase the likelihood of disappearance and tipping over. You can. Waves swell can get up to many many meters easily far off shore. This is my method
