Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Has anyone used Teladoc to do therapy? If so, how was it?I I already tried in-person and BetterHelp but it did I t work.

I triedto contact the therapist that a friend of a friend recommended but she didn't email me back.

I was assigned a case worker and when I told her I had several counsellors before and it didn't work, she offered to do a 1 hour assessment which will help her determine what kind of therapy I need and put me I touch with a psychiatrist.the only thing is I have to wait till feb 18. But it is progress.

The failures of therapy can have different reasons. Sometimes, we are not wanting to get better but to have a friend to talk with. There are therapists that will abuse this and charge to be a friend for an hour a week. Sometimes we are looking for a a sort of "magic bullet" that will somehow make us better instantly. In this case many therapists will simply give up.

Therapy can be most useful if we are trying to make changes and just need some direction or an idea of which techniques to try.

Never used teladoc, but in my experience...
What matters the most is the therapist itself.

I've had therapist told me they have no idea how to even start to handle someone like me. It was quite the hit tbh..

Tried to go in person, online... Been through 6 different ones. Yet, the one who's currently giving me sessions is genuinely helping me although slowly (but that's my fault).

Best thing you can do is... Try and try and try again. For me, although I preferred therapy over internet... Worked best in person.
