From my experience, magnesium glycinate and B vitamins, as well as fish oil seemed to help the most. It is also in addition to therapy, meditation, exercise, healthy diet with fruits and vegetables etc. Ashwagandha didn't work for me but I know a lot of people who said it worked wonders for their anxiety

It's important to understand that supplements should complement, not replace, a healthy lifestyle and professional mental health care. Always consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new supplement, especially if you're taking medications or have underlying health conditions.

That being said, here are some supplements that research suggests may support mental health:

1. Omega-3 Fatty Acids:

  • Benefits:
    • May help reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.
    • Supports brain health and cognitive function.
  • Sources: Fish oil, krill oil, flaxseed oil.
  • Considerations: Look for high-quality supplements with adequate EPA and DHA.
2. Vitamin D:

  • Benefits:
    • Plays a role in mood regulation.
    • Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to increased risk of depression.
  • Sources: Sunlight, fatty fish, fortified foods, supplements.
  • Considerations: Many people are deficient in vitamin D, especially those living in areas with limited sunlight. Getting your vitamin D levels checked by a doctor is recommended.
(Really good video and channel aimed at promoting exercise for mental health, highly recommend you subscribe)

3. B Vitamins:

  • Benefits:
    • Essential for brain function and nerve health.
    • May help reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.
  • Sources: Whole grains, leafy greens, meat, dairy, supplements (B complex).
  • Considerations: B vitamins work synergistically, so a B complex supplement is often recommended.
4. Magnesium:

  • Benefits:
    • Plays a role in nerve function and stress response.
    • May help reduce anxiety and improve sleep.
  • Sources: Leafy greens, nuts, seeds, whole grains, supplements.
  • Considerations: Different forms of magnesium have different absorption rates.
5. Probiotics:

  • Benefits:
    • Emerging research suggests a link between gut health and mental health (the gut-brain axis).
    • May help improve mood and reduce anxiety.
  • Sources: Fermented foods, yogurt, supplements.
  • Considerations: Choose a high-quality probiotic with diverse strains.

6. Ashwagandha:

  • Benefits:
    • An adaptogen that may help the body manage stress.
    • May help reduce anxiety and improve sleep.
  • Sources: Herbal supplement.
  • Considerations: May interact with certain medications.

St. John's Wort is basically the reason I'm still alive, but do your research, as there are lots of interactions with other medications/supplements. It basically works like an anti-depressant but fewer side effects for most people.

I don't know what I would do without Excedrin Extra Strength. It works on cluster headaches better than the Rx stuff. Because the Rx stuff knocks me out and makes me worthless. At least I can still function when I take the EES.

Taking iron can help as many people are deficient. Make sure to take it with food though as it can give nausea otherwise.

St. John's Wort interacts with:
- most anti-depressant medication (SSRI, SNRI, Triptans, benzo etc.),
- HIV meds, mostly HIV protease inhibitors,
- Immunosuppressants
- Warfarin
- Digoxin

and the list goes on... if you're taking ANY medication, a quick google search could save your life!

A testosterone booster supplement is also something to consider. It's a supplement of many ingredients mention in this thread. I've done a lot of looking into these supplements the past few weeks. After a while I realized many of the ingredients in these multi ingredient supplements were mentioned in this thread. So it could be cheaper to just buy th testosterone booster and get several all in one supplement.

Vitamin D, B vitamins, and Ashwagandha are a few of the ingredients found in most brands of this sort of supplement. Theres a lot of articles that say these probably don't work for testosterone. Likely cause there aren't any studies of these sort of multi ingredient supplements. Only studies of the vitamins, minerals, herbs, and amino acids that are in them. I've looked into a few of the individual studies and it seems promising honestly. Theres even other common herbs not mentioned in this thread in these supplements that have been studied to have positive mental benefits.

So even if it doesn't boost your testosterone (which also depends on your age, genetics, diet, ex raise blah blah blah). I think there's still plenty good reason to take one of these.

I heard one of these advertised they are safe for women. I don't see why not. This will not change a woman's genetics. It will in no way make her manly.

Magnesium is another one known for testosterone but not commonly in these supplements. Prob cause magnesium is kinda pricey.

After doing much reading I've decided to get testoprime brand for myself. It seemed to have the highest amounts of the best studied individual ingredients. Only problem with that brand is that to get a roughly $30 month price you have to buy five months worth at a time. Until I have enough spare cash to buy that I've found one at Walmart just under $30 a month that'll get m by. It seems pretty decent. I'll attach photos of it's label.

Well it can't hurt to just grab any one of these testosterone boosters off the shelf and start taking it. It's definitely helpful to read into the brand and the formula that you're buying. There are just some brands that offer a lot more or higher amounts at a similar price.
Edit: the second picture with the list of ingredients is not displaying in the thread for me. But when I click it it shows up.
