Suicide by allergy?

I mean specifically for those people with deadly allergies. Never heard of this before but I've found some cases on Google. Why is this not a more popular method?

Sorry if I sound stupid... Idk.. But I think it might be because most people don't Have a deadly allergy to die from. Just my. . 02

I have a Really bad allergy with fish/ shellfish.. Makes me want to die , but still No where deadly enough to kill me.

It's easy to find methods, the challenge is finding a peaceful and reliable method

Most people who suffer from anaphylaxis survive, even without treatement. Fatal cases of anaphylaxis are actually not that common. Unless you are able to ensure that it will be severe enough, this is not a reliable method.

Sounds painful. My understanding is that many of the reactions that can kill someone are basically restricting oxygen not a nice way to go.

It is a terrible way to go. Your throat slowly closes and you can not breathe. You get nauseous and dizzy. Sometimes you have pain. Your heart races. There is also no telling how long it will take for symptoms to set in or even how strong your reaction will be to any particular allergen. It is potentially a very terrible way to go.

I'm pretty sure my heart attack four+ years ago was actually triggered by anaphylaxis due to reaction to a body wash I had been using. I was breaking out in a bad all-body rash after using that body wash for a couple of weeks but I thought it was the hotel bed sheets (detergent) that was my allergy and I was planning to check out of the hotel literally the day after when I had my heart attack. In the hospital my rash started getting better being unable to take showers and the rash started coming back when I got out of the hospital and taking showers again. Finally figured out it was the body wash... and realized that it might have gotten so bad it triggered the heart attack, since I otherwise before and after had no heart issues.

Long story short... was considering the possibility of taking a couple of showers a day using body wash that I'm allergic to and see if I could induce it on purpose. The heart attack I had was completely painless, I just passed out.

This was an interesting thought. I do have a lethal allergy and have for some reason never once considered it as a CTB-method.

In my case I think it's partly because I would have to optain the substance (penicillin) somehow and that's likely going to be a major pain in the ass since my country is super restrictive about antibiotics. I would also need a reason for asking for it, which means I would have to give myself a potentially dangerous infection. May as well die from that and save myself the trouble.

In most cases I think it's a combination of being instinctively avoidant of your allergens if you have a lethal allergy and that anafylaxis is likely to be an extremely unpleasant way to go with lot's and lot's of SI and anxiety.
